I forgot to hang up the “away for the month” sign

Yeah. Exactly what the title means.

Hey, but this doesn’t actually mean that I’ve been off the nets for a month. While I was busy NOT adding anything to AtaraShin for July, I’ve been busy blogging weekly for RabbitPoets. In fact, I have a lot of new posts that’s coming out. I’ll post the hotlinks later, day by day ^^.

Anyways, I’d just like to apologize to the 100 regular visitors to our site for the lack of content for an ENTIRE month. I’d also apologize that in the coming months, there will also be a lack of sufficeint activity on AtaraShin.

To make up for all this procrastination and douchebaggery, I’ll try my best in the next few days to post things.

If you just miss me and Etchimango, you can visit his blog @ or you can always pop by to check out my episodic posts (you don’t really have to, cuz I always hotlink the article on AtaraShin anyways).

So as the first step to adding something good on AtaraShin, here you go:

I know y'all like this kind of stuff.

A riveting tale…on why you shouldn’t rely on other people

Okay, this probably comes off as the most cliche line in the world of anime and manga, but individualism is probably the best thing you’ve ever heard. Not that I’m saying “don’t get husbands/wives”, but rather, when you have a high school project to do, please don’t pair up with someone else.

Why have I come such a sudden conclusion? Well, here’s a riveting tale for you to consider about a boy named Pablo and his friend Don Panini:

Pablo and Don Panini were in the same Spanish 11 AP class. They got along most of the times, but they had their arguments. During one of their recent Spanish classes, their teacher, assigned everybody a project to do. Thinking that two brains were better than one, Pablo and Don Panini decided to pair up and work as a group.

After a few days, the deadline of the project had arrived. Having forgotten about the project entirely, Don Panini and Pablo decided to get their act together and finish it ASAP. Prior to leaving the school to go home, Don Panini promised Pablo that Don Panini would email him the contents of their project to Pablo by midnight.

Being a very nice guy, Pablo waited till midnight, but nothing appeared in his inbox. Despite it already being past when Don Panini said that he would email him the project, Pablo decided to wait till 2AM, just in case Don Panini was caught in some other work.

By 2AM, Pablo received a message from Don Panini on facebook, saying that Don Panini just started working on the project and would send the project contents by 6AM. So, being as patient as he could be, Pablo decided to wait till 6AM, just in case Don Panini would send the stuff before that time. Before Pablo had noticed, it was already 7AM, yet nothing had shown up in his inbox. Furious with Don Panini at his lack of keeping promises, Pablo ragequitted and stabbed Don Panini to death at school that day.

Okay, that might’ve been a stretch, but think of me as Pablo. I didn’t really get to go to school, because I came down with a massive crash/migrane after 3 cans of Monster Energy Drink. So the moral is, I should’ve just done the Spanish project myself, instead of relying on that douchebag of a friend Don Panini.

The moral for you is, never rely on anyone. Ever. EVER!!!

Oh in case you still don’t get my message, just go watch Hanasaku Iroha 02.

Dynomighty “In Flight” Tyvek Wallet

Anyways, as I’ve said before, I’ll be writing blog posts about interesting stuff that I come across in life, and not just solely on anime. A while back, I ordered these “Tyvek” wallets on the internet from Dynomighty after I heard a friend’s recommendation (actually, he’s my math teacher, cool right? (-_-)…). Anyways, I ordered a couple of them for some of my friends and my parents. So today, in the mail, I got these wallets (even though they’re like 2 weeks late…) and I’m totally ecstatic to start using them!

My Dynomighty Tyvex "In Flight" wallet

So, the wallet I’ll be using is called “In Flight”, as you can guess by the title of this post. The “In Flight” model of the wallet resembles a folded escape manual from an airplane and looks exactly like one. Had I not traveled via airplanes before, I’d be pretty convinced someone just literally took one of those manuals and folded it into a wallet. Anyways, you must be wondering what this “tyvek” material is. Tyvek is a sort of super strong microfiber “paper” that can be folded and is tear-proof. I literally tried ripping it as hard as I could (yes, they have warranty), but I found it to be useless. Also, I tried submerging the wallet in water, and the funny thing is that it didn’t get wet nor did it leak any water. Also, after getting dipped in water, the wallet’s resilience to tear didn’t decrease at all.

Anyways, as far this wallet’s usefulness goes, I’ll have to report on that later because I just got it today. I’ll be posting a status report about the wallet in a month or two. Also, I’m sorry I couldn’t include more images as the photo files from my camera is way too large…and I’m too lazy to wait like 5 minutes for a picture to upload…and I took a lot. Maybe if I find a way to make it smaller then I’ll do a repost…
